Our story

Every great story has roots.

Orange Nest was born from a belief that meaningful business growth begins with meaningful relationships.

Established in 2026, the organisation grew from its founder's professional journey in business development, enterprise technology, financial services and building partnerships across African markets.

Over the years, that experience reinforced an important lesson: behind every business challenge are people, and behind every meaningful solution are relationships built on understanding, trust and collaboration.

Orange Nest was created to bring those principles together in an organisation that helps individuals, businesses and partners identify opportunities, access expertise and work towards practical outcomes.

Our roots may be in enterprise technology and business development, but our purpose reaches beyond any single industry.

We believe every challenge deserves to be understood, every contribution deserves respect, and every opportunity deserves thoughtful exploration.

Why the name Orange Nest?

More than a name. A story of roots, growth and belonging.

The name Orange Nest carries a deeply personal meaning.

The orange honours the founder's grandmother and the lasting influence of the people and values that shaped her journey. The orange tree represents the way we believe meaningful growth happens.

Anathi Ngxekisa, Founder of Orange Nest

A journey rooted in people, relationships and possibility.

My professional journey has been shaped by people, experiences and the belief that meaningful relationships can open doors to extraordinary possibilities.

With nearly two decades of experience spanning business operations, financial services, enterprise technology, customer engagement and strategic business development, I have had the privilege of working with diverse teams and organisations across African markets.

My career began in administration, project coordination and stakeholder support, with experience at organisations including Rosebank College, Mazwai Strategic Communications and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).

These early experiences provided an invaluable foundation in understanding how organisations function, how people collaborate and the importance of those working behind the scenes to keep businesses moving forward.

My journey into enterprise technology began at Sybrin Systems, where I progressed from service and project coordination into service management, business development and strategic account management.

Working closely with banking and financial services organisations across Africa gave me firsthand exposure to the challenges businesses face in maintaining critical systems, improving processes, implementing change and meeting customer expectations.

It was during this journey that I developed a deeper appreciation for the people who work with technology every day, from technical and operational teams to business users, managers and decision makers.

I learned that some of the most valuable insights come from those closest to the challenges.

My professional journey continued at SUSE South Africa, where I served as a Territory Account Manager, focusing on business development, strategic relationships and customer growth across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

My experience at SUSE broadened my perspective on enterprise infrastructure, open source technologies, digital transformation and the importance of strong partner ecosystems.

Working alongside customers, technical specialists, solution providers and cross functional teams reinforced my belief that technology alone does not create success. It is the people, relationships and collaboration behind it that turn solutions into meaningful outcomes.

Throughout my career, one principle has remained constant: understanding people is just as important as understanding the business.

After years of building relationships, exploring opportunities and working across different African markets, I wanted to create something that reflected both my professional experience and the personal values that have guided my journey.

That vision became Orange Nest.

An organisation rooted in relationships, guided by integrity and committed to connecting people, businesses and opportunities with practical solutions.

I believe that no single person or organisation needs to have every answer. Sometimes, the greatest value we can offer is the willingness to listen, understand and bring the right people together.

Orange Nest is more than a business venture. It is an expression of the relationships, experiences and values that have shaped my journey, and my belief that when we connect the right people with the right opportunities, meaningful growth becomes possible.

Our purpose

We exist to leave things better than we found them.

Orange Nest exists to connect people, businesses and opportunities in ways that create genuine value.

We believe solutions begin with listening.

That means listening not only to business leaders and decision makers, but also to the people who work with systems, manage processes, serve customers, identify challenges and contribute to the everyday success of organisations.

We value the perspectives of decision makers, influencers, operational teams, technical specialists, system users, entrepreneurs and partners. Valuable ideas and practical insights can come from anywhere.

Our role is to understand the need, bring the right people together and help create a pathway towards meaningful outcomes.

Sometimes that involves enterprise technology. Sometimes it involves strategic partnerships, market access, sourcing opportunities or connecting organisations with specialist expertise.

Whatever the challenge, our philosophy remains the same:

  • Listen with humility.
  • Connect with purpose.
  • Cultivate relationships.
  • Create meaningful outcomes.

Our approach is solution driven, inclusive and grounded in respect for the people who contribute to meaningful business outcomes. We may not have every answer, but we believe in the power of bringing the right people together to find one.

Every meaningful relationship begins with a conversation.

Whether you're exploring an opportunity, facing a business challenge or looking for the right connections, we'd love to hear from you.
